Philadelphia Water Damage Help

Water damage in Philadelphia? Here is what to do first.

We are not taking requests yet

This site does not accept service requests at this time. If you have active water damage, contact a licensed local restoration company, your utility, or your insurer directly. For emergencies (danger to life, electrical hazard, gas leak), call 911.

What to do right after water damage

  1. Stay safe. Do not enter standing water near outlets or appliances. If it is safe, turn off power to the affected area. If you smell gas or see sparking, leave and call 911 and your utility.
  2. Stop the source. Shut the main water valve (often in the basement near the front wall) or the fixture's own valve.
  3. Document everything. Take photos and video before moving items, for your insurer.
  4. Call your insurer. Ask what your policy covers and whether they require a specific process.
  5. Start drying quickly. Move valuables, open windows if weather allows, and remove standing water if safe. Mold can begin growing within 24–48 hours in wet materials.
  6. Use a licensed professional. Ask any company for proof of insurance and a written estimate before work starts.

How the referral service will work

This is a referral service, not a restoration company. We do not perform restoration, inspections or repairs. Once launched, a caller will be connected with one independent, third-party restoration company serving their area. We may be paid by that company for the referral. Work, pricing and warranties are agreed directly between you and the company. We make no guarantees of availability, response time or results.

Frequently asked questions

Do you do restoration work yourselves?
